The row of pointed wooden merchant houses on the harbour is the Bergen postcard, and it deserves to be. Don't stop at the front row. Slip into the narrow passages between the buildings, where the crooked galleries still feel medieval and the souvenir shops thin out. The wharf is a public street, free and always open. Ten minutes covers the facades. The alleys are the real thing, so give them time.
🕒 How long
