About Oslo Guide

Every bar, pub and nightclub in Oslo — 300+ venues — as glowing dots colored by type (amber = sports, pink = club, green = brew & craft, and so on; see the legend). Dots cluster into bubbles when zoomed out. Hover a dot for the quick facts, click it for the full drawer: price, vibe, opening hours, food, directions and travel times.

Filters(top-left, bottom sheet on mobile): search, district, max beer price, open-now, cheap-right-now (bars whose discounted price is valid at this moment), sports, happy hour, food, outdoor seating, your favorites, group favorites, price-heat coloring, and vibe chips. Every filter lands in the URL, so copy the address bar to share exactly what you're seeing. 🎲 Surprise me picks a random bar — anywhere, within a district, or within a radius of you.

📍 Use my location adds walking estimates and real public-transport times (from Entur, Norway's national journey planner) plus a nearest-bars list. Your location never leaves the browser except as coordinates sent to Entur.

Pick a display name once (Social page) and it's stored on your device. Everything you do — visits, ratings, check-ins, events — is tagged with that name. It's the honor system: we're friends, not a startup.

Events — plan a night, others tap "I'm in". Beer crawls — build a route on the map (crawl mode), save it, then run it in live mode where everyone checks off stops together. Scoreboards — quiz nights, darts, shuffleboard, with running totals. Check-ins — "📢 I'm here now" puts you on the map for ~5 hours so the group knows where the party is. Ratings — 1–5 stars per bar, group average in the drawer. Rounds ledger — who actually buys the beer (the one with the fewest is "next up"). Bar passport — mark bars visited, race your friends, unlock achievements, and check your year wrapped.

This week merges live fixtures — Premier League, Champions/Europa League, World Cup, Eliteserien, NFL, NBA, UFC, Formula 1 (including qualifying and sprints), golf majors — with friend-submitted happenings. Where to watch shows the Norwegian broadcaster for each competition and which bars are known to show it. On match days the map gets a banner — one tap turns a game into an event.
