About
Ride the metro to its last stop high above the city: fjord view on arrival, Nordmarka forest starting behind you, and a grand old timber lodge from 1891 a short walk downhill where waffles are the traditional order. In winter this is the top of Korketrekkeren, the classic toboggan run that drops all the way down to Midtstuen station. You ride the metro back up between runs, and the sledding association rents sleds by the top in season. The run itself is free, groomed by the city, and only open when there's real snow.

Outdoor area, no opening hours. The lodge is Frognerseteren restaurant (1891) — its casual café Seterstua runs roughly 11:00–22:00 with seasonal variations (frognerseteren.no). Winter sled rental by Akeforeningen: 130 kr/day adults, 80 kr under 18, helmets included when available (akeforeningen.no). Both checked 2026-07-21; both seasonal — confirm before you go.
