Two short cobbled lanes of wooden houses from the late 1700s, hiding in plain sight between the centre and St. Hanshaugen. People live here, which is the charm — this is not a museum street, just an unusually surviving one. Walk Damstredet, cut across to Telthusbakken with its view up to Gamle Aker church, and you're done in half an hour.
