About
Oslo's grandest residential quarter: embassy villas, turn-of-the-century apartment blocks, and money that's been here a while. There's little to do here in the ticket-buying sense. Frogner is a neighbourhood for looking at, best treated as the elegant approach and wind-down around a Vigeland Sculpture Park visit. The cafés and shops along Bygdøy allé are calmer and more local than anything in the centre.

A walk that works
From Frogner plass, go straight into Frognerparken for the sculptures. That's the headline. Coming back out, wander down Bygdøy allé and dip into the residential side streets as they tempt you. The facades, the doorways and the quiet are what you're here for.
